Finding The Perfect Pair Of Mom Jeans For You!
We all know the struggle of trying to find the perfect pair of “mom jeans,” a trend that has only grown in popularity again over the last decade and doesn't seem to be going anywhere any time soon.
I, myself, have decided to hop on this trend in the past year after being skeptical for a while. After doing research and comparing styles from about 5 different retail stores, I finally chose to go with jeans from Urban Outfitters and PacSun.
Now, I love these jeans, but they all seem to fit different! Whether they are too cropped, too high waisted, squeeze my legs or are too baggy on the stomach, I can’t seem to find the perfect pair!
I brought it up to my friends and they all agreed that it is so hard to find the “perfect pair of mom jeans.” Whether that’s determined by the brand, waist, stretchiness, cropped or not cropped, I am determined to find an answer.
PETITE
The first person I asked was my sister, who is considered a petite size. Her preference when looking for mom jeans is to find ones that aren’t cropped and that have some rips in them. She also prefers them not to be loose, and more fitting on the top, which was similar to the answers I received from other friends who are petite.
So, after some research, I have found what I believe is the “perfect pair of mom jeans” for my petite friends!
BDG High-Waisted Mom Jean – Destroyed Medium Wash
Sold at urban outfitters for $59.00.
CURVY
Hello, curvy gals! I have the perfect mom jean for you. Through some friends, I was able to gather up a ton of info about what jeans will flatter you the best! The top characteristics my curvy friends look for in jeans are…
A high waist.
A cropped ankle.
An “in between” bagginess around the legs.
One friend also stated, “My butt always looks good! It’s just the mom jean magic!”
My vote as the “perfect mom jean “for you is…
PacSun Indigo Moon Mom Jeans
Sold at PacSun for $59.95.
These jeans combine all of the qualities that will make you look like the fashionista you always knew you were! The black patchwork on the sides give these mom jeans that extra touch, and give a subtle twist on a classic look.
The “in-between” figure
Hello all my “in-between” gals! If you’re like me, of average height, and don’t fit into the petite or curvy fits, it can be difficult to find a fit that’s just right!
Well, I’ve got you covered, because I have been spending years buying different mom jeans and trying to find the best pair for my body type.
I have found that cropped mom jeans make my legs look a little longer, especially paired with some heeled booties! A high waist will also help define your figure and give the illusion of longer legs. Another tip that I have is to start cuffing the ankles of longer jeans!
Now that you have some research to help you, go out there and buy your perfect pair of mom jeans without the struggle!
