Hottest Spring/Summer Trends You've Been Seeing Everywhere
Lately, we’ve been seeing the nonstop trends and hauls these past few weeks on Instagram and TikTok for spring and summer looks. As fast fashion stores have been flooding with the go-to pastel pieces and floral prints, girls give their non-stop recommendations on spring styles you should buy.
Here is an overall summary of trends to get your hands on for the upcoming warmer weather.
Spring Knits
Fashion has always sworn by reserving knits for the winter. Now knitwear is seen more than ever as the season changes as we feel that long-awaited warm weather. Ironic isn’t it. But don’t be fooled, spring knitwear is not to keep you warm, but to show skin while being comfortable and sexy.
Romantic Dresses
Although this might seem cliche, floral dreamy dresses will always go hand-in-hand with spring; it's the law of fashion. Lacey and angelic dresses are sexy yet elegant for the spring weather. Living out the princess fantasy in either a poofy, tulle, floral, and ethereal dress certainly sets the scene for a cottage-like peaceful spring.
Outfit Sets
Sets are an easy and quick way to look stylish without overthinking too much. They have been around for a while and always come and go. But no matter what, the trend starts coming in hot for spring and summer. We’re looking at sets that are starting to become more fashion-forward instead of a last-minute resort. Sets are great for a beach day, a summer night out, or a picturesque picnic.
Collared Dresses
Collars and mini dresses don’t come to mind when you think of a pairing, but it is one of the cutest trends I’ve seen so far. Mini dresses are fun and youthful. When a collar is added, the look becomes elegant and mature—but not too sophisticated. Collared dresses do give off a modernized version of Gossip Girl playing tennis in the Hamptons vibes. The collared dress has also been seen frequently from brand With Jean and their Andy Dress in a long sleeve, collar, ruched waist, and buttoned front. They also carry the Alexa Dress which is the short sleeve version of the Andy Dress. I would get my hands on this dress because it is a hot piece to throw on all spring and summer long.
Funky Mesh
Mesh tops, dresses, and bottoms are the comfiest way to look fashionable and lively in the upcoming months. As colorful as mesh is nowadays, it is one of the best trends to try to get out of your comfort zone and switch up your wardrobe. Why not go all out for spring and summer while you can! Who What Wear said it best, “Second-skin tops are a major layering trick on the runways. The skin-tight tops are heavy on tie-dye, tattoo prints, and reinvented logos will have you rethinking your basic turtlenecks and tees.” Mesh tops are a throwback to the late ‘90s and early 2000s. Now that it is on the rise again, it’s best to get on top of this look while it is still trending.
There is no need to catch up with all the spring/summer hauls anymore with this go-to list to prepare you. As the world is tackling COVID-19 more and more each day, spring/summer 2021 might finally be the time we can roam free and live our lives to the fullest again. So, why not go out with a bang this season with your wardrobe as we reintroduce ourselves into the world!
