Wear or Tear: Euphoria Edition S2E2

The ending of Euphoria, season 2 episode 1, left us with a cliffhanger, but episode 2, “Out of Touch” left us in a chokehold. Social media is keeping a grip on Euphoria fashion trends and we know it’s hard to keep up with them. But, we’ve got you covered. If you’re looking to bring out your inner Euphoria character, start with their outfits!

Kat’s (Barbie Ferreira) wardrobe brings out her inner confidence. Even on her bad days, she still manages to slay. As we discussed last week, Kat has changed her persona once again and we are here for it!

While having emotional and mental breakdowns, Kat still managed to put together some iconic outfits. Heidi Bivens, the Euphoria costume designer, wanted to dress each character like real people. In an interview with Ssense, Bivens stated, “On Euphoria my research involved looking for images of real people, snapping pictures of people on the street, finding random images of people who aren’t famous. I try to find examples of real-world people.”

Kat did look like your ‘real-world’ person in this episode. With, of course, her own twist. Kat wore Cramps graphic t-shirt by Dead by Mono. She layered the t-shirt with a lightweight knit fabric mohair ribbed cardigan in a moss color by Danielle Guizio. She tied the look together with the OG One Love Skirt by O-Mighty.

As Kat continues to develop her style, we will stand right by her. Standing and applauding her fits as well. We can always count on Kat to wear what others can't.

So yeah, it’s definitely a wear!

Lexi (Maude Apatow) does not say much, she chooses not to speak her mind. But, her outfits speak for her. We are loving to see more of Lexi and Twitter fans will protect her at all costs. User @pewpughpew tweeted, “Lexi ur so- get behind me I won’t let anything happen to you!” We are all itching to see her character develop, and we are beginning to see it with her new wardrobe. Lexi was wearing a Miu Miu cotton plaid mini dress, which screams good girl, but we all know she loves a little risk. We are hoping she pushes her boundaries and experiments not just with Fez (Angus Cloud) but with her fashion.

Lexi may not speak her mind, but Maddy (Alexa Demi) has no issues with sharing her opinions. We are all waiting for the day that she finally decides to give Cassie (Sydney Sweeney) a piece of her mind. We also know she’ll do it in “Maddy fashion.” Although she hasn’t told Cassie off yet, there is tension. And with Maddy tension cuts deep.

Maddy went from gowns to crop tops in this episode. A look that caught our attention was her swimwear. Maddy wore a subtle glittery light-green bikini from Romé, which left us speechless. She paired her bikini with a sheer light-green side tie cover-up by the same brand. This bikini isn’t special just because it’s beautiful, but the bikini designer is Alexa Demi’s sister, Falize Romé. We love a sister duo!

It’s a wear!

Unfortunately, Cassie and Maddy aren’t the only love triangles we are seeing this season. Rue (Zendeya), Jules (Hunter Schafer), and Elliot (Dominik Fike) seem to be in one as well. However, Rue’s laid-back fashion and Jules not-so-laid-back fashion continue to make this relationship more interesting.

We can always count on Rue to drip down and keep it calm. This has become Rue’s typical image and we adore it—just as much as we adored her outfit. Aries Arise tailored Jacquard trousers paired with V.I.P Hoodie from Felakutio, a typical Rue outfit. It’s a wear!

On the other hand, Jules wore an oversized Popcorn long sleeve t-shirt, which isn’t a typical Jules outfit. This love affair must be getting to her and you can tell how it is affecting her personal style—it’s a tear!

But don’t worry TikTok users will make us love all Euphoria outfits with their recreations.

We have a love and hate relationship with the characters, but we can not deny they make up for it with their outfits! We wore some and tore some for this week’s “Out of Touch” episode. The journey of unpacking outfits from season two still continues, see you next week!
