Zodiac Playlists: Aries — The Lexington Line

Attention Aries, there is one week left of your season. For those astrologically illiterate—no worries, we don’t all have our co-star chart memorized. Aries season started on March 21st and ends on April 19th.

This fire sign is portrayed by the horns of the headstrong ram. “Aries is a passionate, motivated, and confident leader who builds community,” says Allure astrologer Aliza Kelly, “with their cheerful disposition and relentless determination.”

In honor of Aries season, here are two playlists that highlight music artists with their sun in Aries and songs with ambitious, audacious, Aries energy.

Sun in Aries

Aries are all about embodying independence and confidence. These musicians with their sun sign in Aries are authentic and embrace who they truly are—or want to be.

From classic rock to Queer-adorned pop and even country, there are plenty of songs to enjoy no matter what you’re into.

We blast off with the “Rocket Man” himself, Elton John, with hits like “Bennie And The Jets.” Then we have some rockin’ hits like “Walk This Way,” from Steven Tyler, lead singer of Aerosmith.

Next, we have some pop hits from Kimbra—you may know her from Gotye’s “Somebody I Used To Know.” And of course, the pop queen herself Lady Gaga with hits like “LoveGame.” Don’t worry R&B lovers, there are fan favorites from Pharrell and Chance the Rapper, and more.

Vibes for Aries Season

If you want to do something—just think—what would Aries do? Aries are “comfortable taking decisive action [rather] than waiting to respond,” says The Cut reporter Claire Comstock-Gay. “Aries can provide the fire you need to feel alive, to assert yourself, to make a bright change to your life.” So what would they do? Whatever they want.

With a mix of pop, Dance, R&B, and more we can embrace taking action and starting something new in our lives.

Aries always want more, so we start this playlist off with “Gimme More” by Britney Spears. We go into some more pop songs from Rihanna with “Shut Up And Drive.” Then, we get groovy with some R&B from Junglepussy with “Trader Joe” and Dreamer Isioma with “Cookout.” We rock out with The White Stripes to their song “The Hardest Button to Button.” Not to tame our fire signs but of course, we had to add some Tame Impala—enjoy their song “Elephant.”
