That Spring Feeling: The Perfect Spring Playlist
Spring is that beautiful time of year before summer. School is wrapping up, you start switching out jeans for shorts, and begin to feel the excitement of summer nights approaching. This playlist will provide the chill vibes we experience right before a high-energy summer.
From picnics in Central Park to browsing flower markets, this 4-hour playlist will maintain an uplifting atmosphere during any spring activity. Before you know it, you will be blasting these tunes while driving with the windows down.
Listen to throwback tunes such as “Right Down The Line” by Gerry Rafery. This is certain to bring the nostalgia of Euphoria Sundays—I know we all had this song on repeat last spring.
“Heroes” by David Bowie, as seen in The Perks of Being a Wallflower, will make you want to stick your head out the sunroof or stand on the back of a truck.
Of course, the ultimate spring/summer throwback, “Bennie And The Jets” by Elton John is essential. “Bennie And The Jets” is on my playlist year-round, but the song is especially enjoyable during sunny, blue-sky days.
If you're looking to slow it down to study, read, or relax—indulge in bands such as The Walters, Alvvays, and Beach Fossils. You’ll be sure to experience a sense of calmness while listening to “Ophelia” by The Lumineers.
While listening to “Freaking Out The Neighborhood” by Mac Demarco or “The Less I Know The Better” by Tame Impala, allow yourself to travel back to warm spring days in high school. When you would text your friends, "I’ll wear shorts to school if you do," obviously, it would have been the end of the world if you were the only person in class wearing shorts.
Daisy Jones and The Six fans will be happy to hear that a few songs from Aurora are included in the playlist, alongside Fleetwood Mac classics such as “Dreams” and “Rhiannon.”
Hanging out with your friends? Queue “Feeling Lonely” by Boy Pablo, “Ladders” by Mac Miller, and “We’ll Be in Love” by ANONYMUZ. Before you know it, you’ll all be dancing.
We hope this playlist reminds you of picnic dates, car rides with your best friends, seeing children cover sidewalks with colorful chalk drawings, reading your favorite book in a garden full of blooming flowers, or whichever spring activity is your favorite.
