This Is Your Sign To Get On #BookTok
Books are back—in case you haven’t heard. My inner bookworm has been revived, and #BookTok just might be the cause of it. Many TikTok creators have begun posting tons of book-ish content. It’s time to say goodbye to TikTok dances and hello to reading.
What is #BookTok?
#BookTok has become a community where creators, authors, and readers all unite. The content ranges anywhere from book reviews, recommendations, or jokes that only bookworms would understand. Currently, there are 29.4B views on the hashtag and that number continues to grow every day.

Many bookstores have begun using #BookTok as a marketing tool—and honestly, it’s genius. Barnes & Noble took the liberty of creating a whole “BookTok” section on their website. They make it accessible to find all of the trending novels and series together in one place.

Not only has #BookTok reached bookstores themselves, but it has also begun to crop up on other forms of media. An article by Popsugar takes you through some of editor Madeleine Fournier’s favorite reads that are trending on #BookTok.
