Smell Like the Stars: Celebrity Perfume Dupes

When it comes to a signature scent, almost everyone has a special fragrance synonymous with them—celebrities included. It’s no surprise that most celebs opt for lavish and often expensive cologne and perfumes, but that doesn’t mean everyday individuals like us can’t smell like our favorite celebrity.

We compiled a list of all the signature scents worn by the hottest celebs, and their corresponding dupe, so you can smell like the rich and famous too.

Harry Styles

Perhaps one of the more well-known celebrity signature scents, pop star Harry Styles often rocks Tom Ford’s Tobacco Vanille Cologne. We were able to find the dupe after a Target candle resembling the cologne blew up on TikTok. Tobacco Vanille quickly rose to the top of every Harry fan’s scent list.

Unfortunately, this Tom Ford scent runs from a minimum of $163 for their smallest bottle, all the way up to $365. Luckily for you Styles stans, the perfume company Dossier, who recreates dozens of luxury perfumes for a fraction of the price recreated the woody, spiced aroma of this cologne, all for the cost of $39.

Olivia Rodrigo

Known as the Queen of Gen Z, Olivia Rodrigo took the pop culture scene by storm after the drop of her record-breaking album SOUR. Being such an influential figure for today's youth, it’s no wonder why someone would want to wear the same perfume as Rodrigo.

Now, you may be wondering what perfume this pop star wears. Well, according to an interview done by British Vogue, Rodrigo wears Baccarat Rouge 540. This extravagant scent is sold at hefty prices, ranging from $325 for a small bottle to $625 for the largest size. As it turns out, the Ariana Grande fragrance Cloud has a striking resemblance to Baccarat Rouge 540 at a much more affordable price.

Speaking of Ariana Grande, her line of perfumes has taken the fragrance market by storm, racking up millions from her variety of scents. With such success, it’s no surprise that her date-to-date perfume of choice is desired by fans. Though she wears a variety of fragrances—including her own at times—one of her top favorites it's Viktor&Rolf’s Flowerbomb.

Unlike other celeb scents, Flowerbomb is a little more affordable, starting at only $88 and going up to $220 for the value size. Still, if the $88 dollar price tag is too much for your wallet, the fragrance company ALT created a dupe for the scent. Named Petal Explosion, this perfume is only priced at $29 and bears a striking resemblance to Flowerbomb's aroma.

Doja Cat

Doja Cat is known for her eclectic personality and funky style, but when it comes to her preferred perfume, she admits to using a fragrance that is more dark. In an interview with Harper's Bazaar, Doja Cat mentions BYREDO’s Black Saffron as her go-to fragrance.

Black Saffron is an intoxicating scent but runs for $196 minimum. However, another replica fragrance company named OilPerfumery—which duplicates high-end perfumes in an oil-based formula—has created a dupe for the perfume at the extremely affordable price of $15.

Billie Eilish

The influentially edgy Billie Eilish has a fanbase of over 45 million, so it’s no surprise that her fans want to replicate her lifestyle—including her signature scent. Well, the pop star gave us a glimpse of exactly what perfumes she has on deck after posting a pic on her Instagram story.

One of the fragrances highlighted in the story is AnOther 13 by Le LABO. This warm musk scent is going for $88 to close to $300, but the ALT replicated the scent, naming it Simply Another. This perfume is only priced at $49 and is a great alternative to AnOther 13.

Zendaya

Whether you know her from Disney Channel or HBO’s Euphoria, Zendaya has become a household name. While notoriously private with her personal life, she has come out saying that her perfume preference is Lancôme Idôle Eau de Parfum—a brand that she also happens to be an ambassador for.

The rich and floral scent of Lancôme Idôle Eau de Parfum has an air of sophistication that has a price tag to match. For a bottle of this Lancôme fragrance, it is $100 dollars—which is admittedly more affordable than many others on this list. Although, Dossier had come up with a comparable dupe for the fragrance at $29; naming their version Floral Musk.

Alexa Demie

As one of Zendaya’s co-stars, Alexa Demie’s character Maddy on Euphoria has easily become a fan-favorite and brought Demie into the spotlight. Her alluring and mysterious nature has contributed to her influential statues and has made many want to be like her.

The only trace of what Demie’s signature scent might be is a tweet from 2016—that has since been deleted—where she says “I smell like rosewater and Bottega Veneta.” This sophisticated fragrance, named after the brand Bottega Veneta, runs from $123 to $159. After a little bit of research, we found that Rihanna’s Rogue perfume is a fantastic replacement for this Bottega fragrance, and is only $21.

The last person on our list is known as the best-smelling celebrity—Rihanna. No matter who you ask—whether it’s other celebrities or fans—Rihanna’s signature scent it's undeniably irresistible. Now, you may be wondering, what does she wear? Turns out that the perfume responsible for giving her that heavenly smell is Love, Don't Be Shy by Kilian.

This $250 fragrance has a marshmallow type of sweetness that contributes to its alluring effect. Oakcha—another fragrance replicating brand—created a perfume inspired by the beloved scent under the name Sweet Addict and is selling it for $40.
